Mumbai, Dec 6 (UNI) Singapore Tourism Board (STB) was given the Best International Tourism Board award for the year 2007 at the Galileo Express Travel World Awards, held in Mumbai recently, STB (Western India) Area Director Rebecca Lim received the award on behalf of the team, a release issued here said.
Speaking to reporters here, she said, ''The appreciation has come in form of this prestigious award and record breaking numbers in terms of visitor arrivals from India. We are continually reinventing our product offerings to ensure relevance to the Indian consumer, thereby delivering lots more uniquely enriching and memorable experiences.'' The STB is an economic development agency for tourism which is one of the key service sectors of Singapore. The mission of the Board is to develop and champion tourism, so as to build the sector into a key driver of economic growth for Singapore. The STB aims to differentiate and market Singapore as a memorable destination through the proliferation of the destination brand, ''Uniquely Singapore'', the release added.
