PM, Sonia, LS Speaker pay tributes to Ambedkar

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Vice-President Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chaterjee were among a host of dignitaries who paid homage to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on the occasion of his 52nd death anniversary today.

Dr Singh, Ms Gandhi, Dr Ansari amd Mr Chaterjee laid floral tributes at the statue of Dr Ambedkar, the father of the Indian Constitution, in the Parliament complex.

Many Union Ministers, leaders of political parties and MPs also offered floral tributes at the statue of Dr Ambedkar on his death anniversary, observed across the country as Mahaparinirvan Diwas.
