The disputed structure in Ayodhya was demolished on December 6, 1992.
The anniversary was being observed as 'Shaurya Diwas' at the VHP headquarters in Karsewak Puram here, where the pledge for building a Lord Ram temple at the disputed site would be renewed, Parishad leaders said.
Besides, the discussion on protection of Ram Sethu would be held.
On the other hand, Muslims had closed their shops to express their sorrow on the day.
AIBMAC local convener Mohd Yunus said, '' We are praying that Babri Masjid is re-built on the same place.'' Meanwhile, the Muslim league today submitted a memorandum to the district administration addressing President Pratibha Patil, requesting her to hand over the disputed site to the Muslims.
