Mumbai, Dec 6 (UNI) Model Ragini Khanna, niece of actor-MP Govinda, is all set to make her debut on television with ''Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi'' slated to go on air in January 2008 on NDTV Imagine.
Ragini plays the role of ''Ragini Sharma'', an ambitious girl who aspires to be a supermodel, so that she can fulfil her dreams and see her family happy, rich and successful.
Speaking about her show, Ragini said, ''I have grown up seeing my uncle Govinda on screen and have learnt a lot from him. Now, I am all set to put my learning to use in ''Radhaa ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi''. I am very excited about my role in this show. I play the character of a young girl from a small town who has very ambitious dreams. There is no melodrama. It is a fresh concept that a number of mothers and their daughters will relate to.'' ''Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi'' is the story of a proud mother, who instills the right values in her daughters and believes in their potential for excellence in whatever they choose to do.
''The show highlights the bond between the three daughters and their mother. Radhaa and her daughters are forced to leave the security and comfort of their hometown, Meerut and start life afresh in Mumbai. After moving, they realise that life is not as easy as it seems in this fast paced city. But, instead of getting disheartened, they face their day to day problems with a positive attitude and take on their new life as a challenge, fighting against all odds to fulfill their dreams,'' Ragini said.
The show also stars Supriya Pilgaonkar, Apoorva Agnihotri, Rattan Rajput and Abhimaan Balhara.
