Girl's parents held for giving disinformation to cops

Hyderabad, Dec 6 (UNI) The city police today arrested the parents of a girl, who was traced in Bangalore after she eloped with her lover and got married, for giving disinformation to the police that their daughter was kidnapped and for creating violent atmosphere.

The Sanat Nagar police booked cases against Ms Swapna's parents--Laxminarayana and Laxmi. They were produced in a local court which had remanded them in judicial custody, police said.

Her parents had lodged a complaint that she was abducted by an autodriver recently. As part of the investigation, several autodrivers were interrogated. The irate autodrivers attacked her house and damaged two buses in stone pelting. They were also arrested and cases booked agaist them.

Ms Swapna had married her lover Mahendar in Bangalore, against the wishes of her parents.
