"Black Day" observed on Babri Masjid demolition day

Kolkata, Dec 6 (UNI) The West Bengal Samajwadi Party observed ''Black Day'' on the 15th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid today.

In a statement, SP state president Bijoy Upadhyay demanded that those involved in the 1992 demolition of the Babri Masjid should be punished, the Liberhan Commission report completed immediately and the razed structure restored.

He called upon his party workers to fight against the communal forces because the danger of communalism and the Sangh Parivar still loomed large on the country.

Later, the party activists burnt effigies of the Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Lal Krishna Advani, BJP leaders Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Narendra Modi besides others.
