Badwani(MP), Dec 6 (UNI) Ms Uma Bharti-led Bhartiya Janshakti will file a petition against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for alleged corrupt practice in the purchase of dumpers in his wife's name.
''Mr Chouhan has destroyed evidence and indulged in corruption, while his wife Sadhana Singh has violated Transport rules'', BJ General Secretary Prahlad Patel alleged at a news conference here last night.
Mr Patel, who was campaigning in favour of BJ candidate Sanjay Jhanwar in Lok Sabha byelection in Khargone, said the petition against Mr Chouhan would be submitted before the Lokayukta after the byelection in Khargone Lok Sabha and Sanver Assembly constituencies.
Asked about the BJP launching a frontal attack against Congress leader Digvijay Singh after raising the dumper issue, Mr Patel said ''both Mr Singh and Mr Chouhan were equal in corruption matter''.
He said Khargone, endowed with natural resources, remained backward as both Congress and BJP had not bothered for its development.
