Mumbai, Dec 6 (UNI) Acer, one of the leading branded PC vendors, has said that it has been ranked number one in the LCD wide monitor market in India followed by Viewsonic and Samsung.
According to the Q3 report from IDC, Acer has witnessed a growth in market share from 9.5 per cent in third quarter of 2006 to a whopping 22.8 per cent in third quarter of 2007. Acer today, dominates the LCD wide monitor market with total unit sales of 72,144 in third quarter of 2007 alone.
Acer Sales and Marketing General Manager S Rajendran said, ''Our unique channel strategy has had a significant impact in not only growing the LCD wide monitor market but the display market as a whole.'' Acer's success in the LCD wide monitor market has been mainly driven by the strategy of ''Go Big Go Wide'', wherein the Company targeted bigger and wider models.
