Two-time losers not to get Cong tickets: Diggy
Sheopur, MP, Dec 5 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh today said that leaders who lost assembly elections twice under the party banner would not be issued tickets for the state's assembly polls scheduled next year.
''The Bahujan Samaj Party will have no influence on this state and will not be able to harm the Congress at the hustings,'' he told mediapersons here.
Responding to a query on the Gujarat elections, Mr Singh claimed that the electorate would teach a lesson to those who hatched the conspiracy leading to the Godhra tragedy.
''Chief Minister Narendra Modi is not a leader of five crore citizens but only of crorepatis,'' he quipped.
