Two former civil servants join Congress in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Dec 5 (UNI) Retired IAS officer K L Meena and retired IPS officer Liyakat Ali today joined the Congress with resolve to serve the cause of tribals, Dalits and deprived sections of society.

Mr Meena and Mr Ali joined the party at a function held at the Congress state headquarters here. Party state President CP Joshi, working president Parasram Mordia and several party leaders were present.

Mr Joshi welcomed the two former civil servants in the party fold and said that their entry in the Congress reflected the moods of the people and growing popularity of the Congress among the masses.

He said that this trend would continue and some more dignitaries would join in the party in times to come.
