Kathmandu, Dec 5: Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said a new date for the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections would be announced soon.
During a meeting with the a visiting chirese delegation led by Minister for International Development and central politburo member of the Chinese Communist Party Wang Ziarui, at Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar yesterday, he also said he was trying his best to keep the seven-party-alliance intact.
The members suggested the parties to end the deadlock at the earliest and fix a date for the CA elections.
Mr Wang voiced concern over the ongoing peace process in the country and requested the seven parties to remain united to take the country in a positive direction.
The Chinese delegation was here to assess the latest political developments in the Himalayan nation.
