Faizabad, Dec 5 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today warned the media if they continued to overlook the interests of common man, their support base would decline in the coming years.
''Both electronic and print media at present has no time to focus on the problems faced by common man. Although, some scribes write on such issues, their report do not see the light of day,'' Mr Yadav maintained at a function to mark the golden jubilee of a local hindi daily here.
''Notwithstanding severe financial constraints, small newspapers are the only ray of hope at present. They are committed to journalism and presenting true facts to people,'' the SP leader underlined.
