MPHC notice to state govt

Jabalpur, Dec 5 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today issued a notice to the state's Principal Secretary (General Administration) directing the official to fully constitute an Information Commission by month's end.

Justices Deepak Mishra and R K Gupta issued the notice while hearing the plea of Bhopal-resident social activist Sunil Tiwari who challenged the formation of just a single-member commission despite a court notice.

Petitioner's Counsel Naman Nagrath submitted that the appointment of Mr P P Tiwari as chief information commissioner was insufficient.
