Chandigarh, Dec 5 (UNI) The Haryana Government has reconstituted a State Level Coordination Committee on Crop Insurance (SLCCC) for implementation of the National Agricultural Insurance Scheme.
Stating this here today, a official spokesman said the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department, Haryana would be the Chairman of the Committee.
He said there would be 13 other members of this committee who included Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Cooperation Department, Special Secretary, Finance Department, Director of Agriculture, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Director, Land Records, Haryana, Economic and Statistical Advisor, Director of Horticulture, Haryana, Deputy Commissioner (Credit), Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Government of India, New Delhi, Chief General Manager, NABARD, Chandigarh, General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi, General Manager-cum-Convener, State Level Bankers Committee, Chandigarh, Managing Director, Haryana State Apex Cooperative Bank, Chandigarh and General Manager, Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited, New Delhi.
The Joint Director (Statistics) Agriculture, Haryana would be the Member Secretary of this committee, he added.
He said the term of the Committee would be of three years and its headquarters would be at Chandigarh. The Committee would oversee the implementation of the National Agricultural Insurance Scheme and meet at least once in six months, twice in a year to review the implementation and plan for the Kharif and Rabi crops,he added.
