Nandigram: CRPF unearths five half-burnt bodies

Nandigram, Dec 5: The CRPF today unearthed five half-burnt bodies from a grave at Bamunchwok in Khejuri near Nandigram, that witnessed violent clashes over the issue of chemical hub between CPI(M) supporters and Bhumi Ucchedh Protirodh Committee (BPUC) until last month.

CRPF Commandant, in-charge of Nandigram, Alok Raj today said the bodies, perhaps were of the five victims, who were killed in a bomb explosion in the CPI(M) party office at Sherkhan chowk in Khejuri on October 27 last.

He said the families of the victims had acknowledged identities of their four kins and one was yet to be identified.

Mr Raj said the CRPF has asked permission from local authorities for exhumation of some more graves for further investigation.
