Babri anniversary: security tightened in Pondy
Puducherry, Dec 5 (UNI) Security has been tightened in the Union Territory in view of the Babri Masjid demolition anniversary tomorrow.
According to police, vehicle checks at all entry points were strengthened as part of security arrangements.
Adequate security has been provided at railway station, places of worship and other vital installations.
All passangers and luggages at the railway station were being checked with metal detectors. Lodges, hotels and guest houses were being inspected to gather details of the occupants, police added.
