Lucknow, Dec 4 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today informed the state legislative assembly that FIRs have been lodged against two school principals following a sting operation which had shown three candidates sitting in exams and getting marksheets issued in the name of as many members of Parliament.

The issue was raised during Question Hour by Shyamdeo Roychaudhury (BJP). In his reply, state Secondary Education minister Rangnath MIshra said the marksheets -- issued in the names of MPs Vijayant Jai Panda, Milind Deora and Naveen Jindal -- have been cancelled and FIRs have lodged against principals of Lal Bahadur Singh inter-college (high school) and Gurudev Adarsh inter-college.

He also informed the two schools have also been de-recognised.

To a poser by Mr Roychaudhury on as to why the MPs were not questioned, the minister said as the MPs were not involved, there was no need to approach them.
