New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) With a view to broadening the outlook of border youths, an excursion is being organised by Sashastra Seema Bal' area office, Lohaghat, from November 29 to December 7.

The contingent comprising 30 youths, all aged between 18 and 20 years and mostly from remote border areas of the Indo-Nepal border, found the annual event overwhelming as the country's vividity and rich cultural development left them enamoured and they vowed to raise awareness among village folks about them, an SSB release said.

Interacting with them, SSB Director General Gopal Sharma underscored the importance of such excursion-cum-study tour which he said was the need of the hour.

During the interaction, a majority of youths narrated to him their experience, and dwelt at length on aspects of development, literacy and secular democracy.

The contingent, which reached New Delhi on December 1, is now headed towards Faridabad, Haryana, from where it will go to Mathura and Agra.
