New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a racket allegedly indulging in betting on the second test match between India and Pakistan in Kolkata and arrested a man in this connection.
A colour television, three mobile phones and writing material were found in his possession. The stakes for the match had reached Rs 5.26 lakh as per the slips recovered and entries made.
The racket operator, Radhey Shyam Jain, was arrested from the Subzi Mandi police station area yesterday.
He was booked under the Gambling Act.
During interrogation, the accused admitted that he had been indulging in the illegal trade for the last one year.
