Haryana to spend Rs 22 cr under PMGSY

Yamunanagar, Dec 4 (UNI) The Haryana Government would spend Rs 22.84 crore on widening and construction of roads under Pardhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna (MPGSY), by December 2008.

Stating this, Deputy Commissioner Nitin Yadav today said the four roads to be covered under the scheme included National Highway No 73; 20 km roads from village khajuri to Sadhripur and to Gumthalarao; from Saharanpur-Kurukshetra road from village Bakana to Kheri Lakha Singh measuring 12.07 km and from village Joria to Bhogpur village measuring 17.38 km and from village Kharkali to Mustafabad measuring 6.27 km.

He said the widening and construction of four roads had been given to different agencies which would start their assigned work very soon.

Mr Yadav said under the complete cleanliness programme, the Government would spend Rs 9.12 crore in the villages of the district.

He said 20,030 toilets would be constructed for people living below poverty line. Separate toilets for boys and girls in 503 schools, 334 toilets at Anganwaeri centers and 18 community toilets would also be constructed.
