Court orders probe against TN CM comments on Lord Rama

Bangalore, Dec 4 (UNI) A city court today instructed Karnataka police to investigate into a complaint lodged against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments on the controversial Ram Sethu issue.

According to official sources, the Sixth additional judicial magistrate directed Madiwala Police to hold investigation into the complaint lodged by S Umesh, an advocate for the alleged remarks made by Mr Karunanidhi on both Rama and Ram Sethu.

Mr Umesh, who had sent a legal notice to Mr Karunanidhi, had filed a complaint in Madiwala Police, following no reply from the Chief Minister on the issue.

Justice Mallapur, while disposing the case had instructed the State police to investigate the case and report to the court.
