Patna, Dec 4 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today alleged that several advocates appointed by the erstwhile Vajpayee government for placing the stand of the Centre in Patna High Court and other courts of the state was an open testimony of opportunism and blatant disregard of ethics.

BPCC chief spokesman Prem Chandra Mishra told reporters here that these advocates plead important cases including the fodder scam in Patna High Court and place the stand of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre while at the same time openly put the views in line with BJP ideology outside the court premises.

''Several of such advocates are relatives of important state BJP and JD(U) leaders like Sushil Kumar Modi, Ashwani Kumar Chaubey and Sudha Srivastav--all ministers in Nitish Kumar cabinet,'' he said adding their integrity towards the Centre in discharging their duties had become doubtful.

''All these advocates should have quit their assignment on their own as they still continue to be closely associated with BJP and JD(U) and never feel shy in propagating the ideology of the concerned parties at various fora,'' Mr Mishra lamented.
