Anganbadi workers warn mass agitation
Lucknow, Dec 4 (UNI) All India Anganbadi Employees Federation today said they would stage a massive protest in front of the MPs and MLAs houses, if their demands were not fulfilled soon.
The anganbadi women workers had staged a 'dharna' in front of Vidhan Bhawan for the early fulfillment of their demands.
The Federation's general secretary Jaimati Malik, who was representing the protestors, said ''the honorarium, which is given to the anganbadi women workers, is very less for survival.'' The honorarium should be doubled, Ms Malik demanded adding, the central government should recognise the nine lakh women workers, who are associated with the anganbadi centres, as government employees.
