Mumbai, Dec 4 (UNI) The city police today seized 10 fire arms and 28 live rounds from a native of Uttar Pradesh here.
''Vivek Brindavan Singh was arrested from Jogeshwari railway station today, after officers of DCB Crime Branch Unit X received information about Singh delivering the arms to another person,'' said Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) Rakesh Maria.
The officials of Crime Branch Unit X had kept a watch at Jogeshwari railway station and detained Singh, who was carrying a bag and was moving in a suspicious manner. He is a resident of Gram Post Teheda, Taheli district, Hamipur, Uttar Pradesh.
Singh was later produced in the court, which has remanded him to police custody till December 14.
The police are investigating the source of arms and the person who was supposed to receive it, he added.
