No Cong candidate in Gangath (R) constituency of HP

The Congress had changed its candidate and given ticket to Krishan Kumar following the Supreme Court verdict against Bodh Raj at the last minute but his nominations were rejected since they were not in original and were faxed to the returning officer.
However, the returning officer accepted the nominations of Bodh Raj on the plea that the copy of the Supreme Court judgment had not been received.
Following a complaint by BJP candidate Desh Raj with the Election Commission, Mr Raj's nomination was rejected.
With the rejection of nomination papers of both Krishan Kumar and Bodh Raj, the Congress was left with no candidate in this constituency, which has a BJP rebel in Anita Dhiman, BJP candidate Desh Raj, besides BSP candidate Hans Raj.
Ms Dhimal, who was the BJP candidate from the constituency was replaced with Mr Raj, was likely to receive Congress support in the elections.
