Indore, Dec 3 (UNI) Railways gained control of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group 'B' match against Madhya Pradesh after asking the hosts to follow-on on the third day of the four-day encounter at the Usha Raje Stadium here today.

At stumps, Madhya Pradesh were six for no loss, still 237 runs behind, after being bowled out for 221 runs in their first innings.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 50 for no loss, Madhya Pradesh lost all wickets at the score of 221 runs. Openers Naman Ojha (44) and Jalaj Saxena (37) shared a 50-run partnership for the first wicket. Apart from Murtaza Ali (36), no one made significant contribution.

For Raliways, Harvinder Singh and Karan Sharma took three wickets each, while Sanjay Bangal scalped two wickets and K Parida and Madan Yadav claimed one each.

Earlier, Railways amassed 464 runs on the second day of the match yesterday on the back of 70-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Mahesh Rawat (75) and Karan (61) and 10th wicket partnership of 73 runs between Raja Ali (88) and Madan Yadav (17 not out).
