Pune, Dec 3 (UNI) Jai Hind School shocked last year's runners up Symbiosis by 2-nil to move into the quarter finals of the Abhijeet Kadam Boys Under 17 Memorial Youth Football Tournament here today.
The tournament, being jointly conducted by the Abhjieet Kadam Memorial Trust and the Deccan XI Football Cup under the aegis of the Poona District Football Association at the green top Bharati Vidyapeeth education complex in Dhankawadi, saw Jai Hind cash on two quick goals notched by Thengshung Horam and Kunal Sharma in a matter of two minutes difference to earn a berth in the quarter finals.
Meanwhile, J N Petit recorded an identical 2-nil win over Sharad Pawar International in the other quarter final round, while Delhi Public School and Loyala High School maintained their goal spree.
The former winner notched a 5-1 victory over Sardar Daster, while the latter did one better by recording an 83 triumph over SPM English medium in the other quarter finals.
