HM ultra held in Jammu with arms, ID cards

Jammu, Dec 3 (UNI) A top militant of the Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin was arrested by a team of Special Operation Group (SOG) from the city's outskirts last evening, official sources sources said today.

The Hizb-ul militant, identified as Mohd Hayat Bhoru (code Danish), resident of Chabal in Neel of Banihal tehsil, district Ramban, was on his way from Banihal towards here to create a hideout for the HM Divisional Commander, who had planned to carry out terror attacks here, the sources said.

''On specific information, the SOG team laid down a nakka at Nagrota check post and arrested the militant while he was travelling in a bus,'' the sources told UNI, adding that one pistol, two magazines, 11 rounds, two fake identity cards and a sim card were recovered from his possession.

However, during preliminary investigations, the arrested militant said he was planning to create a hideout in the Bhatindi area here as HM Divisional Commander Maqsood Bhat was to reach here next week. The duo wanted to carry out a terror attacks in Jammu, the sources said.

He also disclosed that he had crossed over to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) via Poonch sector in 2001 and underwent arms training for one year at Boie camp in Muzaffarabad and later at Illaqa gair, the sources added.

The sources further added that the militant disclosed that he infiltrated to this side of the border in August 2006 and started operations in Neel, Gool and Banihal areas under the command of Hizb-ul Divisional Commander Maqsood Bhat.
