Council chief to meet Gov on changes to 'Sakrama'

Bangalore, Dec 3 (UNI) Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman B K Chandrashekhar today said he would approach the Centre through the Governor for an ordinance on modification of 'Sakrama' Scheme for regularising building violations within city limits.

Talking to the press here, Mr Chandrashekhar said he would meet Governor Rameshwar Thakur and sumbmit a memorandum urging the Centre to issue the ordinance for extending the date for filing applications for regularisation and reducing the fee for it, particularly for the economically backward classes.

At present, December 14 was the last day for filing application for regularisation.
