Congress to hold seven rallies in HP on Dec 7

Shimla, Dec 3 (UNI) In a bid to out do each other, the Congress Party has announced its decision to hold seven rallies in a single day in different parts of Himachal Pradesh on December 7, a party spokesman said.

Member of Parliament Sachin Pilot would now address a public meeting at Nalagarh in Solan district instead of former Punjab deputy chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, he said in a release here.

The spokesman said union minister of state for External Affairs Anand Sharma would address a rally at Amb in Una district, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Sujanpur Tira in Hamirpur and Satpal Maharaj at Nerva in Shimla district.

Senior party leader Meera Kumar would address a rally at Balh in Mandi district, he said, adding that the names of party leaders who would address other rallies were being finalised.

The BJP has already announced its decision to hold five public meetings in difference parts of the state on December 5 as part of its efforts to intensify its campaign for the Himachal polls.
