Ahmedabad, Dec 3 (UNI) Gujarat BJP today condemned Congress leader Digvijay Singh's remark that 'Hindus have Hindu terrorism to counter Muslim terrorism' made during the release of Congress party's manifesto here yesterday.
BJP National spokesman Prakash Javadekar told mediaperson here ''Mr Singh is speaking the langauge of fundamentalist. Either he does not know the Hindu ethos of tolerance or the Supreme Court judgement in which it has defined the concept of Hindutava.'' Terming Mr Singh's statement as an insult to the great tradition of Hindutava, Mr Javadekar said ''Hindu religion is not proselyte and as such terrorism based on religion is anathema for it.
Hindutava believes in concept of 'Live and let live' and 'Vishwa Bundhutva' (World's Brotherhood).'' The BJP leader alleged that Congress Manifesto was full of contradictions, unimaginative, directionless and seems to have been written by remote control without knowing the existing ground reality of Gujarat.
He said the Congress, in its manifesto, had enlisted promises that had already been implemented by the present government of Narendra Modi. For example, Vidhya Sahayak, Agro export zone, cooking gas through pipeline, statellite townships, family courts, clean drinking waters, diamond parks and many other promises made in the Congress Manifesto had been implemented or were under various stages of implementation.
This shows complete bankruptcy of ideas on the part of Congress leadership, Mr Javadekar claimed.
