Anti-CPI(M) secular platform needed in WB: Manas
Kolkata, Dec 3 (UNI) Congress Legislature Party(CLP) leader Manas Bhuiya today said that an anti-CPI(M) secular, democratic platform was urgently needed in West Bengal.
The platform should not be for the vote politics but for the agitation against the ruling government, Mr Bhuiya told newsmen here.
''We want an alliance with the Trinamool Congress also but it would not be possible unless the party severes ties with the BJP-led NDA,'' he said.
We would get better results in next year's Panchayat election if such platform was formed, he added.
West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee working president Pradip Bhattacharjee was discussing with the party leaders regarding Balagarh Assembly byelection and would send the candidate's name to the party headquarter at Delhi for the approval, he replied to a query.
