Sushil Modi suffers spinal injury in accident at IGI airport
New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi suffered spinal cord injury this morning when a bus, carrying passengers from the Indira Gandhi International airport terminal to Tarmac, suddenly applied brakes giving a jolt to the occupants, party sources said here.
The incident occurred at 0900 hrs when the bus was carrying passengers bound to Ahmedabad on the Jetlite aircraft.
Mr Modi was admitted to a hospital near the airport and likely to be discharged later today, the sources said.
Following the incident, he was forced to cancel all his campaign programmes in Gujarat.
The incident occurred when the driver was apparently speaking on his mobile phone while driving the carrier, the sources added.
