Maoists bomb railway tracks in Chhapra
Chhapra, Dec 2 (UNI) Proscribed CPI(Maoists) exploded bombs on railway tracks between Masharakh-Dighauli railway stations under Chhapra-Thawe rail sections of North-Eastern Railway last night.
Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Madhaura Rajendra Singh here said the outfit had given a call for North Bihar bandh today.
They carried out explosion on the tracks to disturb movement of trains as well as create fear among the locals, he added.
Senior railway officials had reached the spot and repair of the damaged tracks was on, Mr Singh said.
