Sambalpur, Dec 2(UNI) Union Urban Development Minister Ajay Maken will move a privilege notice against Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for allegedly manipulating the contents of his letter addressed to the party members.

Mr Maken, also in charge of Orissa affairs, told UNI today that his letter, addressed to party MLAs to paralyse the Assembly on the farmers issue till December two, had been manipulated.

''I have seen the letter published in the newspapers which is totally fabricated and far from the original one,'' the Union Minister, who was here to address the farmers rally, said.

Mr Maken, who produced the original letter, said the last two lines of the letter had been ''disfigured''.

He said he would contact the experts in connection with the manipulation of the letter and bring the matter before the privilege committee.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already drawn the attention of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the letter stating that Mr Maken's letter to the party MLAs was ''against the ethics of Parliamentary democracy.'' A ruling BJD MLA has even moved a privilege notice against the Union Minister for asking the MLAs to disrupt the proceedings of the House till December two.

Mr Maken further said he would not tolerate the Chief Minister's making an allegation against him after manipulating the original letter, adding that ''this was nothing but breach of privilege of an MP.'' UNI
