Panchkula, Dec 2 (UNI) Playing their second match, Hyderabad Hereos, skippered by former Pakistan captain Inzamam ul Haq, scored 141 for 5 against Delhi Jets after losing openers Anirudh Singh (8) and Azhar Mahmood of Pakistan (0) with scorecard reading 17 in the Indian Cricket League Twenty20 Championship at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex here today.
Third down Ambati Rayudui (16) also departed leaving Hyderabad Heroes struggling at 45 for 3.
However, mighty Pakistan batsman Inzamam and South African Nicky Boje steadied the sinking ship with a 52-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Inzamam, who made a hurricane 42 against Mumbai Champs last night, looked in good form again as he hammered 24 balls for his breezy strokeful 34 before he was bowled by Ali Murtaza (2 for 24).
This pair carried the total to 97 for 4. Inzamam hit five fours and probably hit the longest six as he lofted Ali Murtaza over long on boundary into the stands.
Abdul Razzaq joined his senior partner Nicky Boje and they were associated in a valuable 38-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
The partnership which broken when Nicky was run out with on 45 compiled in 44 deliveries and hit five boundaries.
Abdul Razzaq and Chris Harris remained not out on 29 and 0, respectively.
