I kept Dhoni's trust in T20 World Cup: Joginder Sharma

Jammu, Dec 2 (UNI) The Twenty20 World Cup star Joginder Sharma said he fulfilled the trust of World Cup captain M S Dhoni, who trusted him and asked him to bowl the final over against arch-rivals Pakistan.

Joginder Sharma, who is representing Haryana against Jammu and Kashmir in four day Ranji Trophy match, while speaking to mediapersons off the field said, ''Twenty20 World Cup will be one of my best memories and i will never forget the trust captain MS Dhoni showed in me and I too responded as per his expectations.

He said that he was given the ball by the captain and was asked to bowl the final over in the final clash against Pakistan, he added, ''I had nothing to speak except to bowl the last over of the mega final. But i did it.'' ''I was very much under pressure but there was nothing to think than fulfilling captain's trust,'' he said.

When asked about his plans ahead, Joginder Sharma said, ''after the World Cup, I am trying to improve my game day by day and working hard to get into the Indian squad for the Australian tour.'' Meanwhile, he also said that Jammu and Kashmir has no dearth of talent in cricket. ''New generation can be boosted and promoted if they are given appropriate directions, he said.
