Bangalore, Dec 2 (UNI) Flight services in Bangalore Airport was disrupted for more than an hour following eruption of fire in Cargo Aircraft belonging to Abu Dabi tonight.
Official sources said a small spark was noticed in a engine cargo aircraft, which was about to take-off from here.
The authorities concerned immediately swung into action and towed away the aircraft from the 'Runway'. The flight operations was suspended for more than an hour.
The incident occurred at about 2005 hrs and all the incoming and outgoing flights were suspended. Many aircrafts, which were about to land here were diverted to Chennai, while many other flights did not take-off following the incident.
Fire tenders were pressed into the service following the incident, the sources added.
