Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 2 (UNI) For the first time ever, five major film production companies in the world will take part in the 12th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), for buying and selling of films.
This is for the first time major production companies, including Celluloid Dream, Sony Pictures, Wild Bunch, Pioniwa Films and Fortissimo, were participating in the festival in order to find market to regional films, including Malayalam, a release said here today.
Representatives of the companies would make dialogues with major film makers in the State, as well as various organisations in the field. A seminar had also been arranged for the purpose.
Besides this, representatives of 31 International film festivals would arrive here to select films and 133 eminent artists from world films would arrive here as guests.
Fiftyfive film directors from 33 countries, renowned Chilean Director Miguel Littin and Indian matinee idol Kamal Hassan would arrive here as distinguished guests to add fervour to the festival, the release added.
