Dabhol power project controversy is over: Shinde

Rajkot, Dec 2 (UNI) Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said decks had been cleared for uninterrupted supply of additional power to Maharashtra from the Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd.

The controversy over Dabhol power project was over as it is owned by a new company, Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd, Shinde said.

Mr Shinde, who was here to release Congress manifesto for the Gujarat Assembly elections scheduled to be held on December 11 and 16, told mediapersons here that company will soon sell electricity to Maharashtra.

Leader of opposition in state assembly, Arjun Modhvadia, who was present, asserted that the congress would form the next government in the state.
