CITU leader dies in accident in Orissa
Rourkela, Dec 2: Hundreds of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) activists blocked the National Highway at Toda, about 100 km from here, after their leader was run over and killed by a truck.
Police said CITU leader Kamal Gudia died on the spot when he was run over by a truck on the NH 205 where a regional party meeting was going on.
Peeved over the shoddy condition of the road, which led to the accident, the CITU activists resorted to an indefinite road blockade at the accident site.
CPI(M) MLA Laxman Munda and CITU state secretary, Bishnu Mahanty had rushed to the spot.
