16 killed in jeep accident in Himachal Pradesh
Shimla Dec 2 (UNI) At least sixteen members of a marriage party were killed and a young boy was injured when a jeep veered off the road and plunged into a gorge in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh last night, police said today.
The accident occurred at Keku, 157 km from here, on the Sainj-Bethal road at about 2100 hrs, Rampur DSP Man Singh Thakur told UNI here.
Mr Thakur said the vehicle was on its way to Kumarsain from Nirmand in the district when the jeep rolled into the gorge.
The young boy, who survived the accident has been admitted to a Government hospital at Khanery.
