Chennai, Dec 1 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government would move the Supreme court on December 3 to recall the orders passed by the court directing Tamil Nadu Home Secretary to appear before the court on January 28 in connection with a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on road safety.

The Supreme Court had yesterday directed the Home Secretary for a personal appearance for the state government's 'failure to file its response' on the petition seeking a direction to the Centre and state governments for improving road condition, infrastructure, traffic laws and medical facilities.

Reacting to this, the government said it had filed a detailed counter to the PIL filed by M/s Common Cause in March 2005 itself.

''However, the present advocate on record, representing the state of Tamil Nadu, has not received notice from the Supreme court for the hearing which came up yesterday.

''The state was unable to respond only because of this,'' it said in an official press release.

The state would also be filing its detailed counter in the case immediately, the release added.
