Lalitpur, Dec 1 (UNI) Film actor and Bundelkhand Mukti Morcha president Raja Bundela today said a separate Bundelkhand Vikas Parishad should be set up in Uttar Pradesh on the lines of Madhya Pradesh.
'' The MP government last month established a Vikas Parishad for the development of Bundelkhand districts, falling under the state...besides, Rs 300 crore was alotted for the Parishad.
''Similarly, should the UP government do,'' Mr Bundela maintained.
UP recieves over Rs 400 crore as annual revenue from the Bundelkhand districts falling under the state, but spends much lesser amount for the development of these districts, he added.
Mr Bundela further underlined that nearby 5.5 crore population of 21 Bundelkhand districts, coming under both UP and MP, was forced to take shelter in other states due to poverty, drought and absence of any industry.
