PMK would resort to agitation to streamline hospital
Kancheepuram, Dec 1 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) MP A K Murthy today said his party would resort to agitation to streamline the functioning of the Kancheepuram Government Hospital Talking to newspersons here, he alleged that the basic facilities were not available in the hospital. The patients were complaining about inadequate treatment, as the hospital does not possess sufficient doctors to treat them, he added.
The PMK leader visited the hospital and consoled the victims in a collision involving two buses near the Kooram Railway Gate in the district yesterday which rose to eight with two persons succumbing to injuries at the Government General Hospital in Chennai.
He urged the Tamil Nadu Government to sanction Rs one lakh each as compensation to the deceased and Rs 25,000 each to the 40 injured passengers.
