Srinagar, Dec 1 (UNI) Only one Indian flight with 216 Haj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir left here for Jeddah today as the second one could not arrive here from Delhi due to a technical snag.

Airport sources, however, said other normal flights, carrying passengers, took off from the Srinagar airport as per schedule.

They said only one Haj flight of Indian with 216 pilgrims -- 149 men and 67 women -- from Jammu and Kashmir left here for Jeddah.

''The other aircraft developed a technical snag at the Delhi airport and could not arrive here to airlift the Haj pilgrims from the state,'' the sources added.

They further said the authorities have sought an additional flight from Indian to airlift the Haj pilgrims stranded today.

The snag-hit aircraft of Indian had been sent to Mumbai for rectifying the problem, the sources added.
