Imran appeals Benazir to restore democracy in Pak

appealed
to
former
premier
Benazir
Bhutto
and
Jamaat-e-Ullema
Islam
(JUI)
leader
Maulana
Fazl-ur-Rahman
to
play
an
active
role
in
restoring
democracy
in
Pakistan.
“At this crucial juncture, she (Benazir) should lead the opposition," Imran asserted.

Khan
said
the
boycott
call
given
by
the
opposition
All
Party
Democratic
Movement
(APDM)
has
a
single
point
agenda
of
restoring
judiciary
to
pre-emergency
status.
Several hundred students gathered at Khan"s office for a convention for restoring the judiciary"s independence and the lifting of the emergency.
“Without an independent judiciary, this country has no future," The News quoted Khan, as saying. I do not want students to politicise themselves," he added.
For any movement to succeed, the participation of students is vital, Khan said.
