Cricketers in fix as JKCA announced 12-member team

By Staff

Jammu, Dec 1 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Ranji Trophy players are in limbo as the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today announced 12-member squad against Haryana for four day Ranji Trophy plate group B match being played here.

Sources told UNI that there was supposed to be no change in the J&K team as the same squad that played against Jharkhand, had to play in today's match but three new faces were introduced this morning in the incomplete squad.

''The players had no idea about playing eleven against Haryana till morning. The team was already finalized last night but at the eleventh hour, fresh faces were introduced in the squad and only 12-member squad was announced,'' sources told UNI.

However, the general secretary and other officials of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) remained tightlipped over the incident.
