Bopanna seeded sixth,four other Indians get wild card

New Delhi, Dec 1: Rohan Bopanna has been seeded sixth and four other Indians hve been given wild card in the SAIL Open ATP Challenger tennis tournament to be held here from December 3 to 8.

Apart from Bopanna, another Indian Karan Rastogi has also been given a direct entry Four who have been awarded wild cards are, Sunil Kumar Sipaeya, Ashutosh Singh, Vivek Shooken and Harsh Mankad.

Denmark's Kristian Pless is the top seed while Pakistan's Aisam ul Haq Qureshi is seeded second in this tournament which has a depleted field.

Four seeded players in the ONGC ATP Challenger-top seed Ivo Minar (Czech), second seed Igor Kyristan (Russia),fourth seed Rik De Voest and fifth seed Wisley Moodie (South Africa)-which ended here today have opted out of the SAIL Open.

In fact South African duo of Rik and Wiley who won the doubles title,left here last night itself withouting even collecting their trophies.

These withdrawls have helped Rohan Bopanna to get the seeding, while Aisam, who was sixth seed in the ATP Challenger which he won this morning earned the second seeding. Other seeded players are (3) Adrian Cruciat, Romania, (4)Adrian Menedez, Spain (5)Michail Elgin, Russia,(7) Joshua Goodali, England,(8) Ivan Sergeyev, Ukraine.
