Kannur, Dec 1(UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Prakash Javedkar today claimed that his party would get absolute majority in the coming Assembly elections in Karnataka.

Inaugurating the eighth Jayakrishnan Master Balidan day at Pannor in the district, he said it was with the help of Deva Gowda the BJP ruled Karnataka for seven days. However, in the crucial moments, Janata Dal(S) supremo betrayed BJP, he alleged.

Mr Javedkar said though BJP had no strength in Karnataka 10 years ago, it was the single largest party in the last Assembly elections because of its dedication in solving the problem of people in the State.

Mr Javedkar said his party in Kerala would emerge as a force-to-reckon with, as the people were disgusted with the anti-people activities of the United Democratic Front and Left Democratic Front in the State.

He alleged that CPI(M) had killed many of his party workers and the BJP would raise the issue both inside and outside the Parliament.
